SBL Acid Muriaticum 30 CH 30ml

Common name- hydrochloric acid, HCL, Muriatic Acid, Acid Mur, Acid Mu,

Introduction- it is an acid prepared by the action of concentrated sulphuric acid on sodium chloride. Like all acids, it has peculiar debility and irritability.

Clinical – anus- prolapse of, diphtheria, diarrhoea, enteric fever, haemorrhoids, hemiopia, heart troubles, mouth and tongue affection, typhoid, etc.

Spheres of action- its action are centred on blood, gastro-intestinal tract, anus, urinary organs, mucus membrane and skin.

Guiding symptoms-

1. Diseases of asthenic type with intense prostration.

2. Patients become unconscious and fretful.

3. Great debility, slides down in bed, even the lower jaws hang down. Their eyes close as soon as he sits down.

4. Burning is a great feature of its symptomatology e.g. ulcers, eruptions, piles, stomach and abdomen.

5. Malignant affection of mouth, mouth studded with ulcer which are deep perforating and having a black and dark base.

6. Offensive secretions and foul breath from mouth in fevers of all kinds, e.g. exanthematous, typhoid, puerperal, diphtheritic, etc.

7. Patient cannot bear the thought or site of meat.

8. Tongue of muriatic acid is very characteristic. It is coated at edges, shrunken, dry, leather- like and paralysed, beefy tongue.

9. The pulse of this drug, especially in typhoid, intermits at every third beat.

10. Palpitation of the heart is felt in the face.

11. Anus is very sensitive, with or without piles. Anus is sore during menses.

12. Piles protrude while the person urinates, involuntary stool while passing urine.

13. Cannot bear the least touch not even of the bedsheet on genitals.

14. Ailments from the sun's heat.

Mouth- there is malignant affection for the mouth. Ulcers in mouth, which are deep and perforating having a black or dark base. The breath is very offensive.

Tongue- it is coated at edges. It is famous for its beefy tongue. Tongue is shrunken, dry, leather like.

Diarrhoea- there is diarrhoea while urinating, with involuntary stool. Cannot urinate without having the bowels move at the same time. Involuntary stool even when passing wind.

Haemorrhoids- anus is very sensitive either with or without haemorrhoids. Haemorrhoids are very sensitive and painful to touch. It is swollen and blue. It may appear suddenly in children. It is too sore to bear the least touch, even the touch of the bed sheet is uncomfortable. Haemorrhoids prolapse while urinating.

Urine- urine passes slowly. The bladder is weak, so he has to wait for a long time to pass urine. He has to press the abdomen so that the anus also protrudes before urine can pass. Not able to urinate without having the bowels move at the same time. Cannot bear least touch, even of the bed sheets on the genitals.

Typhoid- causation: heat if summer or sun.

Symptoms: weakness and prostration are out of proportion to illness.

There is more chill and heat, the chill awakens him in the morning.

Chill with coldness in back and with warmth and burning in face.

Hands are cold and cheeks are hot.

There is intense heat. So the patient wants to uncover it. Burning in palms and soles.

Heat and palpitation of heat at night which is felt in the face.

Headache comes regularly every day from 9 am to 1 pm.

Tongue coated at edges; shrunken, dry and leather like. Tongue is paralysed; very offensive smell from mouth and in breath.

Ulceration with fungus like growth and pseudo membranous deposits in the intestinal tract.

Passage of involuntary foetid stool while passing urine. Pulse intermits at every third beat.
